Incase You Missed It

Implementing our own self-hosted ads is key to enable us to sell our own ad zones to advertisers who are trying to avoid censorship

Incase you missed it; we implemented our own ad server as a way to help regain control of our ad revenue, and cut out a middleman. We also implemented our ad zones for advertisers to post advertisements on our website as a way to dodge censorship, for this instance, an ad that focuses on saving our planet. However; legitimate advertisers who had their ads censored to support the coal industry is a current issue what climate activists has experienced.

If you are not sure about why we implemented our own ad zones via Revive Ad Server, we will tell you how did we do it!

Installing Revive Ad Server

We are aware of Google being involved in these antitrust cases without actually knowing it. We decided to take action by removing Google AdSense ad units from our site directly, and replace them with ad zones what we’re hosting ourselvf. This move is necessary to help advertisers in the future. Our advertisers who care about our planet should NEVER be censored under any circumstances. However; we decided to host our own ads, and find ways to enable advertisers to become members of our own website, or advertise on our website without needing accounts.

We discovered Revive Ad Server, an ad management software what we can run on our own server, without needing to sign up for third party ad providers. This is a necessary reason to help our customers who wanted to advertise on our website with less censorship.

Google AdSense, Amazon Associates, Chitika, Sovrn, and other ad networks what we kno today has these unnecessary traffic requirements for monetizing websites. However; fighting this discriminatorypractice is necessary for us to enable diversity of our advertisers who are legitimate. Big tech companies like Google, Microsoft, FaceBook, Yahoo, and other tech giants has caused issues with customers recently. Big media companies like Disney, Nintendo, and other companies are notorious of causing issues each day.

To help prevent further issues with running our own ads on our website; we decided to implement a low-cost advertising service that will be designed for independent advertisers like you.

Having more advertisers on our website is key to help our website grow as we write content like usual.

Advertisers who were banned from Google AdWords,–despite running ads that are designed to save our world has struggled to reach our website, feeding larger company websites who were dependent on coal!

Fairies Dreams & Fantasy encourage advertisers to stop feeding these tech giants, and advertise directly on independent websites who run ad servers.

How You Can Do The Same What We Did?

  2. Deactivate/Remove ads from your website that is ran by a 3rd party platform that belongs to Google, like Blogger and Google Sites
  3. Setup your website on your new server
  4. Limit 3rd party ad network’s privileges for advertising on your website
  5. Avoid price gouging

You can host your own videos, without hassles of YouTube’s community guidelines that are controversial. You can also regain independence when hosting your own videos.

You can also host your own social network to develop alternatives to FaceBook.

Sell product and services like an independent seller of products and services what you offer.

Sell your own ad zones to advertisers.

Deactivate/Remove ads from your website that is ran by a 3rd party platform that belongs to Google, like Blogger and Google Sites

Give your site some time to run ads for 30 days or more. If you were planning on removing these ads from this website ran by a 3rd party like Google; give it time before deleting these ads from your old site.

If you were cleaning up during migration; be sure to schedule your time to move your website as you set up your new domain for your new website. This is useful if you were setting up your server for your new site.

Setup your website on your new server

After you set your domain, and confirmed your server is running correctly, be sure to set it up.

Use WordPress or any free CMS for your content. Or write in pure HTML to display your website. If you don’t know HTML, visit this tutorial to get started, it’s free, and no membership required!

Limit 3rd party ad network’s privileges for advertising on your website

If you want to limit 3rd party ad network’s privilege for advertising on your website; use Revive Ad Server; it’s an open-source ad management platform that is designed to help you control ads without needing to rely on heavy third parties. You can install it via your “ads” subdomain. To implement this; follow these steps:

Step 1: Disconnect Your Website From An Ad Network By Removing Ad Codes Provided

If you already have ad codes on your website, and you haven’t installed software to manage ads, besure to remove ad codes, and save them via your text files. To do this follow these steps:

  1. If you were using a CMS, log into your control panel; and remove your ad codes from your website. If you write in html; remove ad codes, leave space for a new ad code for a self-hosted zone later.
  2. Save your ad codes to a text file; you need to save them for later on.
  3. Collect ad revenue from an ad provider what you’re restricting from your website.

If you have software installed to handle ads; limit third party ads to a specific time like 22:00 to 6:00. Those are the times that are undesirible

Reimplememt ads on your website with your saved ad codes, and set them to be shown via these hours what we strongly recommended.

Avoid price gouging

Price gouging is illegal, and we discouraged this practice. Be sure to set prices that are comfortable for your customers who wanted to advertise on your website.

Protect your ad revenue against unnecessary memberships to large media and tech giants, unless you have a specified reason to use their services

If you believe these media giants are condoning antitrust and greed, be sure to ditch them by unsubscribing from their paid services, and finding alternatives. If you rely on them; you may need to take extra caution.

Write Your Experience

This is optional, but we encouraged you to do so.
